I am very upset at the Boston Metro for running this story:

A former Provincetown gay rights activist was sentenced to 90 months in jail for distributing some 24,000 images of child pornography over the internet.  John Perry Ryan, who now lives in Vermont, pleaded guilty to three distribution charges last June, including transporting a photo of an adult male having sex with a toddler

With the following headline:

Gay Rights Activist Jailed

Uhm, shouldn’t that have been “Pedophile” or “Child Pornographer” jailed???  Would that not have been wholly more relevant to the story??  I’m (not) sorry but I consider myself a gay rights activist and think that this douche just smears the whole movement.

I tried responding to your message on Facebook…but it’s douching and not letting me! I basically said I don’t know if your 90 dollar round trip is NY-Boston, or where you are-NY. But if it’s NY-Boston you could probably book a round trip on www.megabus.com for abou 30 bucks. Though I know you ahve papers to write and stuff.

I’m writing the roughs to all my essays on the bus (maybe) for my e-class and then typing/submitting them while Alyssa’s at work on Saturday. And I can probably get prime sketching done for my other class too.

Megabus was a surprisingly pleasant experience for me, Craig.

Goddamnit!  Megabus only runs from Albany to NY where I’d have to pay for another ticket to get to Boston, tipping me at even more than a one way greyhound.  I’m doing that (esentially) in two weeks to see my best friend / confidante / one-time-quasi-relationship / sister (yeah, it’s complicated) in NYC for the weekend where it will also be hella expensive.  She’s also planning on giving me a “FULL TOUR” of NYC including museum trips, expensive food and booze… and maybe a gay bar?  So I will be mad broke from that alone.  I’d have just enough to cover bus fare back and forth from Boston.  ON TOP OF THAT my teachers decided next week would be midterm week… WITH PAPERS!!!  *shoots self in major blood pathway*

This fucking sucks.  Shit like this is always happening, and it always reads like I am avoiding you guys, but that’s retarded because I want to meet you two like crazy.  Are you guys doing anything in March/April?  I should be able to get enough money for another trip by then and will MAKE THE TIME to go.

Bawww. Don’t feel shitty. It was kind of spur of the moment. I was thinking about plotting a trip in maybe March or April and I think with some time/wiggle room things will be easier to plan. Boston, New York, Philly hangs. Good luck with your papers.
